This Cookie Policy explains how Pink Elephant, Unipessoal Lda, NIPC 519056582, operating Mirari, uses cookies and similar technologies on the Mirari website. It should be read together with the Mirari Privacy Notice, which explains more generally how Mirari processes personal data.
This Cookie Policy applies to visitors to the Mirari website. It does not cover cookies set by third-party platforms once you leave the Mirari website, such as Circle, Zoom, Stripe or Klarna; those services are governed by their own cookie and privacy notices.

2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognize your device on return visits, remember your preferences, and collect information about how the website is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in comparable ways and are treated the same way in this policy.
3. Categories of cookies we use
Mirari uses strictly necessary cookies, which do not require your consent, and analytics and marketing cookies, which are set only with your consent. Each category is described below.
4. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Mirari website to function and cannot be switched off. These include cookies that maintain your session, remember your cookie preferences, and support the security of the website. When you log in to access your Foundation Program account or the practitioner community, Circle Technologies, Inc. sets cookies necessary to keep you signed in and maintain your session. Where you make a payment, Stripe or Klarna may set cookies necessary for fraud prevention and to complete the payment you have requested.
Cookies of this kind fall outside the consent requirement in Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive because they are necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested. Where they involve personal data, Mirari’s legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, necessary to perform your contract with Mirari, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, Mirari’s legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
5. Analytics cookies
Mirari uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website, including cookie identifiers, pages visited, session duration, referral source, device and browser type, and approximate geographic region. IP addresses are anonymized at the point of collection, no User ID tracking is enabled, and advertising features are disabled. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
6. Marketing cookies
Where you opt in, Mirari may use marketing cookies or similar tracking technology in connection with email communications sent through its email service provider, to measure engagement such as opens and clicks. Klaviyo, Inc. is this provider. Marketing cookies are set only with your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
7. Consent and how to manage your preferences
Where consent is required under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in Portugal by Lei n.º 41/2004 of 18 August, as amended by Lei n.º 46/2012 of 29 August, and under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Mirari asks for it through a cookie banner or preference tool when you first visit the website. Consent is specific to each category of non-essential cookie, must be freely given, and can be withdrawn at any time with the same ease with which it was given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Browser-level controls apply to the device and browser you are using and may need to be repeated on other devices or browsers.
8. International transfers
Google Ireland Ltd processes analytics data within the EEA. Google LLC in the United States may act as a sub-processor for limited purposes, safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses and Google’s EU Data Processing Terms. Klaviyo, Inc., where used, is US-based. This transfer is safeguarded by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with Standard Contractual Clauses available as a fallback. Further detail on these transfers is set out in the Mirari Privacy Notice.
9. Retention
Analytics data is retained for 14 months from collection, then deleted in accordance with Google Analytics 4’s retention settings. Records of your cookie consent choices are retained for 3 years. Strictly necessary cookies are typically retained only for the duration of your browsing session, or for a limited period where needed to remember your cookie preferences on return visits.
10. Changes to this policy
Mirari may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including to reflect a change in the cookies or tools used on the website, or a development in the law described here, such as the European Commission’s pending Digital Omnibus proposal, which would revise the rules governing cookie consent. Mirari will publish the updated policy on the website.
